Nordiska Museet - 2024

Nordbor is an exhibition at Nordiska Museet exploring humanity’s relationship with nature, faith, and family over the past 500 years. No Parking contributed multiple interactive installations that combine historical content, play, and digital technology to create an engaging museum experience.

Goal

Create a 3D non-photorealistic rendered animated short in Blender within 4 months.

Motivation

Inspired by animations like Spiderverse, Arcane & Entergalactic we set out to create a stylised 3D short that blends expressive 2D aesthetics with technical 3D production. This project challenged us to step outside our comfort zones—Beth explored 3D and stylised painting for the first time, while Elin led the technical pipeline in Blender. Working as a dedicated two-person team pushed us creatively and we found huge mutual benefit in the collaboration.

An interactive exhibition that uses games and digital installations to make 500 years of Nordic history accessible and engaging.

Motivation

The project aims to move beyond traditional exhibition formats by actively involving visitors in history, encouraging curiosity and reflection through interaction rather than passive observation.

Goal

To translate complex historical themes into intuitive, playful, and meaningful experiences while staying true to the museum’s academic framework.

My role

I worked on visual design and content production, including data visualizations such as maps and statistics, and implemented content using PixiLab Blocks based on project manager and client feedback.

Working closely with designers and project managers, I organized large amounts of content, designed clear visual systems, and iterated based on feedback. The process balanced historical accuracy, clarity, and usability within an interactive exhibition context.
